Hi there! My name is Ami Rutelonis. I am a Seattle native and graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in Communications. Fifteen years ago my family moved to Summerville when my husband, Corey, accepted a job at Meadwestvaco. We love living in the Lowcountry! I have an extensive background in the hospitality industry as well as healthcare office management. Several years ago I decided to change careers, taking the plunge to get my real estate license. In 2017 I joined Carolina One, forming The Gardner Group with Carolyn Gardner. I have a passion for real estate and take great pride in being a Realtor. It’s been my honor to help many people from the Lowcountry and beyond find homes or move on to their next adventure. I work with first-time home buyers, new construction, listing re-sales, VA buyers and sellers, retirees, investors, and vacation homes. The support and resources offered by Carolina One helps me be a stronger, better agent for my clients. I am an expert in our local market and a trained relocation agent, as well as a resource for Realtor referrals both nationally and worldwide. Over the years, I’ve connected many people with top Realtors in the areas they are moving to or from. A little bit more about me: family is first and foremost in my life. I am the mother of three adult children. My oldest son is engaged to his long-time love and they are the proud parents of a sweet baby boy. I am an enthusiastic Mimi and am loving being in my "grandparent era." My oldest son is an experienced plumber with Rudd Plumbing - he's doing so well and I am so proud of his dedication and determination learning and excelling in a trade. My sweet daughter is out in the world working hard in the restaurant business. She's planning on going "back to school" to pursue a teaching degree. She's a natural teacher and I look forward to watching her grow in her future profession. My youngest son recently returned from an adventure serving with Americorps. He experienced such personal and professional growth travelling throughout the southeast region giving back to underserved communities. Now that he is back home, he is jumping right into real life, learning the plumbing trade with his brother. We have always been a baseball/softball family. My kids played rec, school, and travel ball. During our rec ball years, I spent four years in a full volunteer roll as the Concessions Manager/board member at Summerville Little League, which was a minimum 40+ hour a week commitment. In addition to playing adult league baseball, my husband coached most of our kids’ teams and I was always the scorekeeper/team mom. My husband, Corey, still plays mens league baseball and has taken on the added responsibilities of coaching and chairing one of the divisions. Professionally, he works in the IT world on the homebuilder side. When not working from home he travels to client headquarters in different areas around the country. We also have a menagerie of animals: two dogs, two cats, and a bearded dragon. Between the kids, grandbaby, and pets, there’s always something going on at my house! In my spare time (what is that?!) I love to work in my garden/yard. I always have projects going on: building/constructing benches, tables, re-purposing furniture, tackling home improvement projects, and getting crafty with my Cricut. Corey and I plan on traveling the world both in the U.S. and abroad. We recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Greece and have our sights set on a trip to Scotland/England. Seeing new places and exploring new cultures is something I look forward to in the years to come. In the meantime, I would be honored to be the key to your next move.
