Julie Hicks is a REALTOR, Full Time Licensed South Carolina Real Estate Agent, with Carolina One Real Estate Services in the Mount Pleasant Coleman Blvd office next to Shem Creek, serving the Greater Charleston metropolitan area. Julie is an active member of the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS and an active member of the National Association of Realtors. Julie is the recipient of the Carolina One STAR Award, is an East Cooper Top Producer, is a SILVER CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD Winner, and Committee Member for the Carolina One Cares Charity Group. Julie holds many Real Estate Professional Certifications and Designations including Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Historical Properties Specialist (HPS), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), and Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS).Julie obtained a Bachelor of Business degree with a concentration in Risk Management and Insurance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. After a decades long successful career with global insurance firms, most recently as Vice President in Commercial Excess and Surplus Lines Property Insurance in Atlanta, managing complex risk programs, Julie decided to follow her dream of living the Lowcountry Lifestyle in Charleston and her passion for all things real estate including residential, real estate investment, restoration, renovations, historic preservation, interior and garden design. In her free time, you can find Julie exploring Charleston and all that the Lowcountry Life has to offer including world class and truly local restaurants, beautiful beaches, historic homes & gardens, the Charleston Museum, the Gibbes Museum, art galleries, live music venues, festivals, farmers markets, bird sanctuaries, kayaking on Shem Creek, and walking her English Bulldog Maggie on Daniel Island, in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant and Downtown Charleston. On college game days she has "a house divided" with a son that graduated from the University of South Carolina, now a Commercial Real Estate Broker in Atlanta GA, a son that recently graduated Pre-Med from the University of Georgia now in Medical Sales in Atlanta GA, and parents that graduated from the University of Alabama.
